Meet the Team

The team at Phoenix Athletics is devoted to improving the lives of young athletes and ensuring that they all have a fair shot at their dreams on and off the field.

  • President, Co-Founder

Zach was born and raised in Pinellas County and graduated from Dunedin High School in 2016, where he played football for four years. He continued his football career at Cornell College until a near-fatal brain injury during his sophomore season forced him to prematurely end his football ambitions. Despite this setback, he graduated from Cornell in 2021 with a degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.

During the end of his time at Cornell, the idea for Phoenix began to take shape, inspired by the passing of one of his former high school teammates. Unsure of his future career and the state of athletics in Pinellas County, Zach joined the staff at Countryside High School as the offensive line coach for two years.

While coaching, Phoenix piloted the Phoenix Medical Equity Program, aimed at providing healthcare access to youth who needed it through Zach’s father, a chiropractor. Witnessing the positive impact of immediate care on the children's outcomes both on and off the field, Zach decided to pursue a Chiropractic degree. He is currently attending Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida.

  • Treasurer/Secretary, Co-Founder

Jack was raised in Orlando before moving to Dunedin in 2008. He went to East Lake High School in 2012, being part of the swim team there for his entire high school career. He then went to the University of Florida to major in computer engineering before graduating in fall 2019.

He entered the workforce before being approached by his best friend, Zach, with a early concept for Phoenix. Jack agreed to help and signed on as Secretary before also helping with the Treasurer position. During his time helping Zach, he came to realize the needs that exist and the weight of the mission set before them.
